Pizza Delivery Model

This is my first blog. I am sure i would not reach many people but am sure somewhere somebody to whom this would really matter would read it. 'CII - Creativity, Ideas and Innovation' the title speaks for itself and the title for this blog "Delivery model" would only mean, i have some innovative idea to make stuff easier for the customers and also the sales persons.

Dominos claims to deliver its pizza service within half an hour from the time of order. I thought of giving them some competition and not just competition but serious competition. Service model completely redefined. 'How about delivering the product in just Ten minutes?.

How is it possible?
The pizza's base and its ingredients are kept ready at the center and once the order is placed they just assemble the parts and heat it and send it.

The same task can be performed when you are actually traveling towards your customer. Use a mobile van which are installed at various important points, once you get an order intimate your van and during the travel time perform the task of assembling and heating inside the van itself.

So folks, this is one of the innovative thought which came across my mind. This would certainly help the companies speed up their delivery process, increase on quality, provide better service at the doors of the customers and also feed people within a comparatively shorter time.

Cheers!!

  2. It wouldn't be cost effective. And time isn't really that important. When you order a pizza, the hungrier you are, the better it tastes. Half an hour is fine for me.

Besides, Pizza bases are actually made from dough. Like chapathis. It's not like the ones you buy outside, which are hardened dough. They don't taste good. There's no point having a pizza if it doesn't taste good.

Also, on a random note, dominos pizzas suck. Their base isn't done neatly. The dough doesn't cook well. The cheese is too watery. The garnishing is bad. It's Pizza Hut all the way for me. And maybe occassionally US Pizza. *chuckles*
